Paraguay Baptist Medical Center Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose sole purpose Scenes from Paraguay

is to support Centro Médico Bautista and its ministries. The Medical Center is located in Asunción, Paraguay and its rural clinics are located in small communities surrounding Asunción. The Paraguay Baptist Medical Center Foundation, hereafter referred to as PBMCF, is made up of volunteers who are dedicating their time, effort and heart to a wonderful cause. The incredible individuals who take on this worthy cause are carrying on the "Great Commission" in a great way. The needs of the people of Paraguay are many but none greater than their spiritual needs. By helping them medically, economically and physically, we are also helping them spiritually. The kindness that we show the Paraguayans is more than matched by the gratitude they show us and by the hope seen in their eyes.

There are all kinds of things to be done here and all sorts of people with all sorts of backgrounds needed. During the past four medical/dental mission trips, we had doctors, nurses, dentists, craftsmen, teachers, paramedicals, pharmacists, hygienists, and lay support people from all walks of life giving of themselves to enrich the lives of those who they served.

The average length of stay on one of the mission trips is ten days. The cost of a mission trip is around $2,400 per person. Accommodations are provided to all volunteers and are basic in nature. Meals are provided and are from the local cuisine. Our numbers usually are around 30. The location of the Medical Center is Asunción, Paraguay, the capitol of the country. The clinics being served are within one to four hours of the capitol.
